My passion for photography started in the mid 1970’s using a simple instamatic camera. Throughout the 1980’s and 1990’s a Cannon A-1 body with multiple detachable lens was my camera of choice. I loved using slow speed Kodachrome slide film, primarily ASA 64, and ASA 28 when it was available. Now I’m enjoying the flexibility of digital photography.
I look at life through the lens of wonderment and try to capture the images I see in my mind then recreate them in my photo art. I am inspired by other photographer’s images, mostly though I’m drawn towards the works of painters, of how they are able to transfer images to canvas and blend colors. I try to emulate their skill and techniques by painting with photography. This website is a culmination of almost a life time’s worth of my passion for this art form.
